One of my favorite things about the creative process on the Bionic record was my close collaboration with DFace @dface_official The artwork is filled with special customizations close to my heart. The singing songbird caged inside my throat symbolising vocal cords… my sons name delicately carved into the side of a drum by my ear… with many other hidden names and personal meanings woven inside the illustrations- lending itself to the notion that there’s always many hidden layers behind the surface and what meets the eye. Challenging us all to look a little closer and a little deeper. Given the electronica inspiration of the music, I wanted the visuals to reflect that—peeling back the surface to reveal the inner machinery. The intricate details mirror the sounds and textures of the album itself. It still remains one of my favorite covers to this day. 🖤🐦‍⬛⛓️💡
