Spirit Zulu Time 1925 - The new release from Longines! This absolutely stunning time piece is celebrating 100 years since Longines pioneered having two time zones on their watches. Tiny fact: Zulu Time is in reference to the military alphabet's letter Z which is said as "Zulu" this stands for Zero Time which is GMT + 0. A very useful reference for pilots to communicate a universal time to one another and to control towers when travelling through different time zones. Cook day!Today we have two 35-day-aged Galician Rib Eyes. Galician beef is, in my opinion, the best in the world! Incredibly deep, beefy flavour. But I digress, we also have an olive fed wagyu tenderloin which has a really interesting flavour profile. All steaks were dry brined overnight and left to properly come up to room temperature (takes a while but allows the fat to render easily with the way I cook hot and fast)To go with the steaks - linguine with a garlic confit butter sauce! Which is a recipe I found online. It sounds fancy but it's just roast garlic blended with butter, rolled into a snazzy little sausage, cooled in the fridge, and then whisked in a pan with pasta water!#Foooooood#1MillionGarlics

To celebrate some Warhammer news, I decided to make a pilgrimage to the very first place I bought Warhammer models over 30 years ago....the Little Shop, on my home island of Jersey! My incredible team and I, alongside the brilliant minds at Games Workshop, have been working away in concept rooms, breaking down approaches to the enormity and magnificence of the Warhammer world. Together, we've been sifting through the plethora of incredible characters and poring over old tomes and texts. Our combined efforts have led us to a fantastic place to start our Universe, which has been agreed upon by those up on high at both Amazon and Games Workshop. Today marks one year since Meat (our french bulldog) decided to shuffle off this mortal plane and continue on his journey. I have to say, I hadn't previously felt pain quite like the pain I felt when Meat died. I'd only know him for three years, but in those three years he and I made such incredible progress together, and he completely changed my outlook on French Bulldogs. He was deaf, so I learned how to use body language to communicate properly with him. He couldn't stand other dogs, but we got to a place of tolerance with Kal (my Akita). He survived a very complicated cancer removal surgery. He travelled to far flung lands without complaint. He would come looking for me at night if I stayed up playing computer games too late. He would be ferociously protective over Natalie, but learned to trust Kal and me for guidance. He fell ill and recovered a number of times. He enjoyed many a backpack ride once he got too tired to make any decent length walks. At the end he fell ill with a pneumonia. I'll never forget the expression on his face, desperately asking me for help on the way to the vet in Turkey because he couldn't breath. Once there, however, he held strong and recovered to such a point that we felt hope, but it turns out he was just waiting for us to bring him home. He passed away peacefully in England. Thinking of him always brings great sadness, but also great joy. We'll miss him as long as we live, but wouldn't live nearly as richly had we never have known him. Journey well Meatboi.
