Ben and I just got back from a week in Maui where we were celebrating my birthday, and also being… CANCER FREE!!! That’s right, y’all. I’m all done with chemo, and at this point the docs consider me CURED. It is the best birthday gift I ever could receive. My heart is so full, I feel like I’m on the verge of tears every moment. I’m so grateful for the support from you all, for the medical care I’ve received, for everything. Thank you thank you for a little more time on this earth!! I’m hugging into the ether and hoping y’all can feel it. I’m about to publish another Substack. I wrote it over a couple months, and it looks at my time going through Chemo. I’ll publish it in two parts because it’s a little long for one. Thank you so much to those who have been reading. Writing has been a surprising gift. Xoxo

Today I recognize that a celebration of abundance for some is a day of mourning for others. Now I don’t know what the hell to do about literally anything lately, but I feel compelled to say this: if you have the means to feast today, and plan to (as I do), then you probably have the means to share some of that abundance, too. My friend gave me a reiki session for my birthday. The depth and intensity of the experience were completely unexpected. I feel light now, in a place I didn’t even know I was heavy.
