The best day for @inmysundays summer collection

@kingjewelers helped Liam and I both design our dream wedding bands. I loved Liam’s idea to have my ring fingerprint engraved on his. The artists at Kings hand engraved my print and it turned out so beautifully. They even added our wedding date inside too.

This holiday season taught me a few things One, a reminder of the frailty of our life here on earth. Everything can change so fast. In a moment, any of us could be gone. What a tragically beautiful reminder to love everyone around you and treat them as if it may be the last time you see them. May every breath I take be filled with loving and kind words, quick forgiveness, a gentle spirit, and an eagerness to understand others. Another reminder would be the absolute and clear reality that is the eternity we get to spend in heaven through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.What a gift that we get to all be together again in a place more beautiful than we can even put into human words. Lastly, I’ve been reminded that where there has been life lost, if you look for it, you will see and appreciate the new life around you. A new stocking on our mantle this year, hanging next to an empty one. The growing young man with the same hands and smile as my dad. A best friend’s new baby, full of joy and innocence.80 year old grandparents that are still with us. Laughter amidst the tears. My student’s smile as they reach their goals. The new house Liam and I are renovating together. Joining a new family the same year I lost a big piece of mine. My dad’s favorite song on the piano. The way we all will love and live differently because of the man my dad was

The timing of our wedding was heartbreakingly beautiful. Only God knew that this would be the last time I would see my dad but how sweet that our very last memories together could be captured so beautifully. My dad got to give me away to a man he adores, dance with me to a song we grew up listening to together, and see all our friends and family again before he went to be with Jesus. It is with the heaviest heart that I share the sudden and tragic passing of my sweet dad, Jason. I am gutted to my core and don’t have the words to explain what he meant to me. We’re in shock and feeling the heaviest weight of the grief. The pain is unimaginable and I miss him so much already.He was kind, compassionate, the hardest worker. He taught me how to ride a motorcycle, change my brakes, listen to Dwight Yoakam, build a chicken coop, be a handywoman, a few dirty jokes, my love for vintage trucks. He taught me how to love and serve people that can’t do anything for you in return. He is the reason I am a Special Ed teacher and amongst all the things I have done, he has never been more proud of me than he is now. He was larger than life and felt invincible. I still feel like I’m going to hear him roll in the driveway on his motorcycle any second. He loved Jesus more than anything else, so it’s easy to picture him dancing, healed, and running into the arms of Jesus. He died doing what he loved most. Riding a motorcycle all the way from home to the tip of South America.Nov. 27th will always be the hardest day I’ve ever had to go through but today on Thanksgiving day, I am so proud so say that I am beyond thankful that Jason Rovenstine is my dad. He was the best dad and his life was such a gift. Jesus be near.

It was my favorite person’s birthday yesterday!! 25 years of Liam Brown.He is gentle, kind, selfless, and a true defender of all that is good and right. He looks for ways to help others and does so joyfully, especially those who have nothing to offer in return.
