43-year-old Milano says she tries to reach out to Shannen every week. Alyssa shared about her concern about the actress and tweeted her.

45-year-old Shannon officially revealed about the disease last August. However, all the year she was candid about her struggle.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star has been uploading snaps and footages of her treatments on the Web. She even documented her hair shave. Shannon also attended various events to raise cancer awareness.

Alyssa considers that Doherty’s decision to share about her fight is a journey to recovery.
