Westeros, meet Ed Sheeran! The 26-year-old singer from Great Britain is going to be a guest star on the 7th season of Game of Thrones, according to Dan Weiss and David Benioff.
Ed is a great admirer of Maisie Williams (Arya Stark). Benioff tried to get him on the show for years in order to surprise Maisie. Now he has reached his aim.
The performer has already hung out with the cast. Sheeran disclosed that not long ago he entertained few young cast members from the series in London (at his 5-floor house). According to Ed, Game of Thrones is his favourite show.
According to Weiss, many people would like to do Game of Thrones and they have to tell these people that this is too boring and that they will hate it as the show takes 12 hours per day. He also revealed that Jónsi Birgisson wanted to leave before the end of the 4th season.
Game of Thrones will air on HBO on July 16.
