Speaking with Reuters, the gender equality activist addressed the critics who are sure that the photo undermines the star’s feminist beliefs. Emma stated that she always wonders how many misconceptions and how much misunderstanding there is about feminism.
The Beauty and the Beast actress launched the #HeForShe campaign that enlists men in the fight for women’s rights. Watson says that Feminism has to give females a choice, it is not “a stick to beat another females with”. According to the star, feminism is about liberation, equality and freedom. Emma stated that her breasts have nothing to do with all that.
The discussed snap features Emma in a cropped, crochet bolero jacket. She has got nothing under it. The picture was published this month in the magazine and internet community reacted immediately.
