J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter prequel story was stolen, The Telegraph announced.
The 51-year-old British author wrote the story to help raise funds for English Pen. The story was sold at a charity auction for almost $38,000 9 years ago.
England's West Midlands Police reports that Rowling’s story was taken from her home in central England during a robbery. This happened between April 13 and April 24. Her 800-word story was written on a postcard.
The postcard was handwritten by the author and purchased to raise money for charity. The police department turned to the author’s fans on Twitter and asked to inform them if they have any info.
Rowling asked not to buy the paper if someone is offered it.
