Jennifer Lopez will star in the Netflix adaptation of Isabella Maldonado's best-selling novel  

Jennifer Lopez will star in a new Netflix movie based on Isabella Maldonado's bestselling novel "The Cipher."

According to Variety, the actress will also co-produce the project.

The picture will tell about FBI agent Nina Guerrero (Jennifer Lopez), who gets involved in the case of a serial killer after several codes and mysteries related to the recent murders posted online by him. 

The writer has been in the FBI herself for 22 years, which prompted her to write the novel.

Other details, as well as a release date, are not yet known.
