An insider says that Selena was disappointed by the church's scandals, but she is still "close to God."

According to the publication, the singer became disillusioned with the church after the scandal with her pastor Karl Lentz, who was recently suspected of having an affair with the designer Ranin Karim, was accused of fraud, treason, and lies and was removed from office.
