Kanye West officially changed his name to Ye

Media reports said that a Los Angeles court granted musician Kanye Omari West's request to change his name. 

The 44-year-old American rapper will now be known simply as Ye.

West asked to change his name in August, citing personal reasons. The court announced that it found no objection to the denial of the petition.

Kanye West released his album "Ye" in 2018. At the same time, he changed his name to "Ye" on social media. The rapper stated that Ye is part of Kanye's name and the most common word in the Bible.
