Sony Studios has postponed the release of the comic book thriller "Morbius," starring Jared Leto. The picture, which was supposed to be released on March 19, will now be released on October 8.
This is not the first postponement of the film's premiere. It was initially supposed to come out in the summer of 2020, but it was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
"Morbius" was directed by Daniel Espinosa. In addition to Leto, it also stars Matt Smith and Jared Harris.
In the story, biochemist Michael Morbius has suffered from a rare genetic disease since childhood. The scientist has spent his entire life searching for a possible cure. Unfortunately, the previous experience with the blood of the bat turned him into a vampire.
As the publication notes, most of the films scheduled to premiere in early 2021 have also been postponed.
