Willow Smith and her mother and grandmother discussed polyamory in relationships on the show Red Table Talk.
The girl is 20 years old and admitted on the show that she is polyamorous, meaning she allows sexual relations with multiple people in parallel:
"Let's say you've never been a person who needs constant sex, but your partner is. Are you going to say, 'Just because I don't have these needs, you can't have them either?' That's one reason I got interested in polyamory because I wasn't introduced to it through the lens of sexuality. I am the only polyamorous person in my group of friends, and I have the least sex of all. If someone perceives that as being able to have sex with whomever they want all the time, I'm not comfortable with that. It doesn't fit my views."
During the discussion, Willow's mother was sympathetic to her daughter's thoughts, but her grandmother did not share them.
