Ariana Grande is switching up her signature look, trading the iconic ponytail for a brunette hue that fans may soon accept as permanent after a three-year blonde phase.

Just a week after she first teased the new shade on Instagram, the Wicked star seems to be embracing the brunette as her new norm, leaving Glinda the Good Witch’s blonde tresses in the past.

On November 6, she joined costars Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey on the French talk show Le Quotidien, choosing to wear her hair down rather than tied back in the ponytail.

Hair isn’t the only thing evolving during Wicked. Ariana and Cynthia reportedly got several matching tattoos, including a palm‑size design tied to their on‑screen bond.

“We each got the ‘For Good’ motif,” Ariana joked on Le Quotidien, adding with a playful note, “There are two we can’t show.” Jonathan Bailey joined in with a quip about keeping Ariana and Cynthia in view.

Nevertheless, Ariana emphasized that the friendships formed during the project will endure far beyond any hairstyle or ink.

“We’re fortunate to be tied to each other for life,” she said, underscoring how meaningful the experience of making these films has been with people she admires.

Cynthia Erivo agreed, adding, “We’re not leaving each other.”
