Katy Perry Publicly Confirms Romance with Justin Trudeau During Japan Tour

Katy Perry has taken a bold step by openly acknowledging her relationship with Justin Trudeau on social media, several months after rumors first surfaced about the couple.

On December 6, the 41-year-old pop star posted a series of photos and videos from her trip to Japan, where she had recently performed as part of her Lifetimes Tour. Among the images was a charming selfie featuring both Katy and the former Canadian Prime Minister smiling together against a backdrop of autumn foliage.

Included was also a brief black-and-white video capturing a cozy dinner date with Justin, 53, as Katy enjoyed local cuisine. She described the post with the phrase, “Tokyo times on tour and more.”

During their visit, the couple also met Japan’s former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife Yuko Kishida, posing for a festive group photo in front of a Christmas tree.

Justin expressed his appreciation on X (formerly Twitter) on December 4, writing, “Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko. Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship and your continued commitment to both the international rules-based order and to a better future for everyone.”

Following Katy’s split from ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom earlier this year and Justin’s separation from his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023, the pair first sparked dating speculation after sharing a dinner in Montreal in July. Since then, they have been seen together publicly multiple times, including a night out at a Paris cabaret in October to celebrate Katy’s birthday.

Katy subtly hinted at their relationship on social media shortly after, sharing a video from backstage at one of her concerts where keen-eyed fans spotted Justin applauding in the background as she blew out birthday candles.
