Mandy Moore Reflects on a Challenging Year in Heartfelt Thanksgiving Tribute After Losing Home to LA Wildfires
Mandy Moore expressed deep gratitude for her loved ones despite enduring a tough year.
Almost a year after their home in Altadena, California was destroyed in the January Los Angeles wildfires, the This Is Us actress took a moment to share how these events have shaped her family's journey.
“This year has been incredibly intense and challenging,” she wrote on Instagram on November 27, “but above all, I feel immense gratitude.”
Along with her message, Mandy, 41, posted touching black-and-white snapshots featuring herself, her husband Taylor Goldsmith, and their children: Gus Harrison, 4, Ozzie Bennett, 3, and Louise Everett, 14 months old, capturing moments of joy and togetherness.
“Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving,” she added, emphasizing that her greatest thankfulness is reserved for these four.
Following the wildfire disaster, Mandy found comfort and support among close friends and family. Her brother-in-law, Griffin Goldsmith, revealed that actress Hilary Duff and her husband Matthew Koma generously opened their home to Mandy and her family during this difficult time, highlighting the spirit of community and kindness.
“From the very start, they have cared for my entire family,” Griffin shared on Instagram. “Their generosity is the kindest gesture anyone could offer, and I am forever grateful. They are truly remarkable and selfless people.”
