Just three weeks following her first wedding anniversary with Jake Bongiovi, son of the legendary Bon Jovi frontman, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown honored her father-in-law with a special distinction.

A Favorite '80s Legend

During a game with her Stranger Things co-stars Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Sadie Sink, Millie revealed that the iconic artist behind “Livin’ on a Prayer” is her preferred '80s figure.

The rock band's appreciation was evident as they responded to her acknowledgment on TikTok on October 16th with a heartfelt, “An honor.”

Embracing Grandparenthood

Jon Bon Jovi, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, has embraced his role as a grandfather to Millie and Jake’s adopted daughter, a joyful addition they shared in August. Reflecting on the new chapter, Jon described it as “crazy, but great, wonderful.”

On the September 21st episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast, he expressed his affection, saying, “They adopted a girl, and we met the baby obviously, and immediately it becomes your grandchild, your baby. It’s beautiful. I want to see pictures like every other day. I’m that pain in the butt guy already. It’s cool.”

Supportive Family Ties

Beyond his love for his granddaughter, Jon, who is also the father of Stephanie, 32, Jesse, 30, and Romeo, 21, with wife Dorothea Hurley, fully backs Millie, 21, and Jake, 23, in their relationship and marriage, despite some criticism regarding their young ages.

“We blessed it because we get it, you know? They’re sorta mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together and they married very young,” Jon explained. “They fell in love and we just thought, ‘OK, we’ll support this.’ And it’s working out.”

The legendary singer also openly admires Millie.

“She’s fabulous,” he shared with E! News in April 2024. “She’s really wonderful and her and Jake are a great couple.”
