Sophie Turner Shares Key Reason for Permanently Settling in the UK After Uprooting from the US

Sophie Turner has made it clear that returning to the United States is not in her plans.

After her separation from former husband Joe Jonas in 2023, the acclaimed Game of Thrones star chose to leave the States and move back to her homeland in England. Since then, she has embraced her new life without looking back.

"I genuinely feel at peace here," Sophie shared with Flaunt in an interview released on August 22. "I don't see myself moving elsewhere again."

At 29, Sophie, who is a mother to daughters Willa (5) and Delphine (3) with Joe Jonas, discussed how her time abroad reshaped her appreciation for the life she once had in the US.

"Living in America, I didn't fully realize the importance of friends and family to my well-being until I was away from them," she continued. "Returning home has made me value them immensely."

The divorce initiated a challenging custody dispute between Sophie and Joe, culminating in a settlement reached in October 2023. Reflecting on the experience, Sophie expressed sorrow over the difficulties it caused.

"I'm distressed by how things unfolded, especially regarding my children," she revealed to British Vogue in May 2024. "They suffered the most. Nevertheless, I believe we're handling it as best as we can. I'm hopeful we'll find a balance. Joe is an excellent father to our kids, and that's all I can ask for."

Joe Jonas recently echoed similar sentiments, highlighting their joint dedication to their daughters.

"We have a wonderful co-parenting relationship that I'm truly thankful for," he mentioned to Jay Shetty during an appearance on Jay’s On Purpose Live Tour in May. "Having Sophie as a fantastic mom for our girls is a true blessing."
