Bruno Mars Delivers First Solo Grammy Performance in Nearly a Decade
Bruno Mars has confidently stepped back into the spotlight, delivering a captivating solo performance at the 2026 Grammy Awards on February 1.
The artist took center stage alongside his band, the Hooligans, performing his fresh single, "I Just Might," from his upcoming album The Romantic, scheduled for release on February 27. Dressed in a striking red suit and coordinating headband, he performed atop a vibrant heart-shaped platform, radiating his signature groove.
Audience members, including Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter, were visibly enjoying the rhythmic display, moving along to the beat.
In addition to this memorable performance, Bruno Mars earned three Grammy nominations this year: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, the latter recognizing his collaboration with Rosé on the song "APT.", which he also performed earlier in the evening.
While Bruno has appeared at the Grammys before, this event marked his first solo live performance there in almost ten years. Previously, he joined forces with Lady Gaga in 2025 for a touching tribute to Los Angeles after the wildfires, and in 2022, he performed with Anderson .Paak as part of the duo Silk Sonic.
Later in 2022, Bruno and Anderson announced they were withdrawing their debut Silk Sonic album, An Evening With Silk Sonic, from Grammy consideration, choosing instead to celebrate the music industry’s achievements collectively.
Nearly four years on, Bruno Mars is reigniting his solo career with the imminent release of The Romantic, signaling a fresh chapter for the acclaimed artist.
