Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Trailer Previews New Killers and October Release

The official trailer for the second season of Dexter: Resurrection has arrived, revealing that Dexter Morgan is grappling with aging, unfinished business, and a dangerous new landscape in New York City. The upcoming season is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ on Friday, October 30.

Now well into his fifties, Dexter faces the physical realities of growing older, opening the preview with a visit to an optometrist for glasses. Despite his declining eyesight, his lethal urges remain as potent as ever. Complicating matters further, Charley seeks retribution, while law enforcement officers Wallace and Oliva continue their relentless pursuit. Adding to the city's turmoil, Don Framt and Owen Stark emerge as formidable threats, each terrorizing New York with their own distinct methods of violence.

According to the official storyline, Dexter finds himself positioned directly between two contrasting murderers: a seasoned predator boasting decades of notoriety alongside an extensive victim count, and an ambitious newcomer unleashing unprecedented terror across the metropolis. Simultaneously, Dexter confronts an unfamiliar psychological adversary in the form of a midlife crisis. His son Harrison also presses forward with a personal mission for justice, propelling both men into what is described as their darkest chapter to date.

Michael C. Hall returns to headline the cast alongside returning actors Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington, and James Remar. The sophomore season expands its ensemble with the additions of Brian Cox, Dan Stevens, Nona Parker Johnson, and Bokeem Woodbine, while Gabriel Luna joins the production in a guest-starring capacity.
