Gwyneth Paltrow Appears with Single Vintage Earring at Actor Awards 2026
Gwyneth Paltrow stood out at the Actor Awards 2026 with a unique look featuring just one of her signature vintage earrings.
On March 1, the Marty Supreme actress graced the Screen Actors Guild's red carpet wearing a pair of striking turquoise Belperron earrings. However, when she and her co-stars took the stage to present the film's highlight reel, only one earring was visible.
At 53 years old, Gwyneth complemented her look with a daring Givenchy black lace gown, yet the absence of the second teardrop earring—an exquisite piece dating back to the 1930s—was noticeable. She shared the stage with fellow cast members Timothée Chalamet, Odessa A’Zion, and Tyler the Creator (Tyler Okonma).
Despite the missing earring, Gwyneth remained composed and radiant. This marked her first SAG-AFTRA appearance since 1999.
During her presentation, she reflected on the film’s creative spirit: "Each member of this cast brought their own distinctive energy. We shared a bold, dynamic coming-of-age story that celebrates the excitement of youth, struggle, and big dreams."
Fortunately, the vanished earring was only a temporary mishap. Later in the broadcast, Gwyneth appeared wearing both earrings again.
Her presence at the ceremony was a significant moment, especially considering her recent break from acting. The Goop founder’s role in Marty Supreme marked a surprising comeback.
Gwyneth, mother to Apple (21) and Moses (19) with ex-husband Chris Martin, and stepmother to Brad Falchuk’s children Isabella (21) and Brody (19), admitted her return to acting was unexpected.
In a December 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she revealed, "Honestly, it wasn’t an acting itch that brought me back; my kids had all grown up and left home."
However, it was the opportunity to work on director Josh Safdie’s film that truly motivated her comeback.
In discussions with Variety and CNN’s Actors on Actors, Gwyneth expressed, "This project reminded me of the kinds of movies we made in the '90s, and I knew it was worth returning for."
