Kim Kardashian Hints at a Surprise for Met Gala 2026 With a Playful Remark
Kim Kardashian is once again keeping Met Gala watchers guessing.
With the 2026 event approaching, the 45-year-old made it clear that her outfit will stay secret until she steps onto the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s famous staircase in New York City. Still, she offered a small clue about her take on the “Fashion is Art” theme.
When a fan asked on X which designer was behind her look, the Kardashians star responded with a teasing line: “Hmmm I don’t think you will be able to guess.”
Although she refused to reveal details about her “Costume Art”-inspired ensemble, Kim did share a glimpse of her beauty direction. In a later post, she said her makeup this year would lean toward “more neutral bronze tones.”
To build even more excitement, the SKIMS founder also posted a collection of her Met Gala outfits from the last decade on Instagram, captioning it on May 4: “Year 13 loading…”
Kim first attended the Met Gala in 2013 with then-husband Kanye West, wearing a floral Givenchy dress that highlighted her baby bump. Since then, she has become a familiar face at the event, often appearing with her mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kendall Jenner. Her sister Khloe Kardashian joined the Met Gala in 2022 but has not returned since.
Over the years, Kim has worked with a range of designers, including Balmain, Mugler, and Versace. At last year’s Met Gala, which carried the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” she arrived in a black leather Chrome Hearts gown.
At the time, she said on Instagram that the look was influenced by Lenny Kravitz, describing him as a modern dandy whose fearless style, along with the impact of figures like Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis, helped shape menswear for generations.
