Landman starts Season 3 filming as four cast members become series regulars

Landman has begun filming its third season in Fort Worth, Texas. Four cast members have been promoted to series regulars: Colm Feore, who plays former MTex lawyer Nathan; Mustafa Speaks, who plays crew chief Boss; Bobbi Salvör Menuez, who plays Ainsley’s college roommate Paigyn; and Francesca Xuereb, who plays T.L.’s physical therapist Cheyenne, whose real name is Penny. The returning cast includes series lead Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy, Demi Moore as Cami, Ali Larter as Angela, Sam Elliott as T.L., Andy Garcia as Gallino, Jacob Lofland as Cooper, Michelle Randolph as Ainsley, Paulina Chávez as Ariana, Kayla Wallace as Rebecca, James Jordan as Dale, and Mark Collie as Sheriff Joeberg.

Michael Kelly is also joining Taylor Sheridan’s series for Season 3 as William Crockett, an industry titan who runs the world’s largest oil-management firm. The character’s official description says that everything about him exudes efficiency and money. Kelly’s television credits include Lioness, The Penguin, and House of Cards.

Season 2 ended with Tommy setting up CTT Oil Exploration & Cattle, LLC, a family oil business where he could work alongside Cooper and his father, T.L. The first photo from the new season confirms the venture is underway: a sticker bearing the company name appears on a hard hat at what appears to be a drilling site. Co-creator and executive producer Christian Wallace previously told TVLine that Tommy thrives in the field, working with the crew and handling day-to-day operations, and said the new business would let him focus on the parts of the difficult job he enjoys most.

Billy Bob Thornton said in May on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast that Season 3 production would start in August. Filming dates had not been finalized at the time, however.
