Robert Irwin Stuns Fans With Bold Mustache Makeover

Robert Irwin embraced a daring new appearance recently in the spirit of fun.

The young wildlife enthusiast unveiled a freshly grown mustache to play a lighthearted prank on his mom, Terri Irwin, creating priceless reactions.

“It’s been a little while since I last shaved,” Robert shared on a TikTok video dated January 3, showcasing his facial hair in its early stages. “I had about a week off from filming, so I figured I’d have some fun with the crew before heading back to work.”

The 22-year-old could barely hold back his giggles as he carefully sculpted his beard into what he described as the “perfect” mustache.

He even entertained himself by mimicking iconic characters — channeling the pilot from Tom Cruise’s cult classic Top Gun as well as Nick Offerman’s mustachioed persona Ron Swanson from Parks & Recreation.

When Robert appeared on set sporting his new facial hair, his mom greeted him with a mix of shock and playful teasing, exclaiming, “As your mother, I’m incredibly proud.”

Asked if she wanted him to keep the mustache, Terri gave a mock-serious shake of her head and quipped, “Definitely.”

This isn’t the first time Robert’s appearance has caught his family off guard. Back in September, the Dancing With the Stars winner surprised Terri and sister Bindi Irwin by showing off some daring shirtless dance routines alongside partner Witney Carson.

Reflecting on that moment during the December 18 episode of Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast, Robert said, “I just thought, ‘Why not go for it?’ I told them, ‘This one’s a bit edgy,’ and they encouraged me. Afterwards, they were pretty amazed.”

He added, “Life’s short, so you’ve got to embrace these moments. There’s nothing wrong with having fun.”
