Such an honor to return as emcee for The National Inventors Hall of Fame Awards on Thursday! 🏆Think the Oscars, but for scientists & inventors. 😁 I love that scientists and engineers are the celebrities on a night like this. 🙌😎..Was so wonderful to have my handsome husband with me, and amidst so many fascinating inductees - including some familiar faces, like Frances Ligler, inventor of Portable Optical Biosensors, and @lonnie_g_johnson, inventor of the hydraulic Super Soaker water gun! ☺️..I even took a selfie with two scientists whose inventions MADE THE SELFIE POSSIBLE. 🤯 (5th pic! Eric Fossum - inventor of CMOS Image Sensor, and Steve Sasson - inventor of the Digital Camera!)..Scroll to the end to see me close down the night by dancing with inductees to Billy Joel - what could be better?! 😁..Most importantly, we raised money for @inventorshof's @campinvention, which provides support for the next generation of innovators with STEM education. 🙌🙌..Thank you to everyone who makes this incredible event possible - I'm always so grateful to be a part of it! 🧪🔬🔭😎

I took Draco skiing this week (no, that first pic is not from this week! 🙃), and I just had to reflect on all the travel adventures he and I have had through the years... it's our tradition to do a mother-son ski trip in Big Bear (for ten years now!) They say it goes by fast, and I've always resisted that notion. 😁 Instead, I try to put energy into creating core memories. The time will pass either way, and I just want to make the most of it! I'm so grateful to have our traditions and to have all these memories. 💕💕..Can you spot the two pics from this week? And the very last shot is from our very first ski trip - in 2015 - he was four. 🥰

I lived in Los Angeles for 40 years... from the age of 7 to 47... I never imagined this could happen to my hometown. The ongoing destruction is unfathomable. Office Christmas party! Last night I had the joy of being my husband's date at his law firm's Christmas party. ???? It was so much fun to simply be in a supporting role, chatting with his coworkers and cutting a rug on the dance floor (no pics of that part ????), for no reason other than to celebrate my man. ????..Fun fact - this is the dress I wore when we got engaged 11 years ago! One posed shot, two videos - one with NO makeup. ????..Last night I attended the taping of the incredible @dancingwiththestars semi-finals (sooooo good!), and today I got to have my own DWTS-style training with the incredible @glebsavchenkoofficial and then perform a Viennese Waltz for some press to promote #ACinderellaChristmasBall which premieres Nov 29th on @greatamericanfamily ! ????????????..But seriously - *changing the song* right before we performed?
